RULES
| 1. |
Screenplays/short
stories must not have been previously optioned, purchased or produced. |
| 2. |
If
a winning screenplay has been written by two or more writers, one
author should be designated the primary contact. Awards will be
divided equally among the writers. |
| 3. |
Screenplays/short
stories must
be in English. |
| 4. |
Screenplays/short
stories that have received awards from other competitions over $500
will not be eligible. |
| 5. |
Writers
who have had a previous feature screenplay produced and distributed
are ineligible. |
| 6. |
Slamdance
and Xeolux are not responsible for screenplays/short stories lost,
stolen, or lost in transit. |
| 7.
|
Judges
decisions are final. |

ELIGIBILITY
Short screenplays must be 1-30 pages, full length screenplays must
be 70-120 pages. Short stories must be 1-50 pages. All short stories and
screenplays must belong to the sci fi genre or be science/technology related. |
ENTRY
PROCEDURES

Enclose
all completed forms (Registration / Release, Synopsis) with your
screenplay/short story. |
| 2. |
Screenplay/short
story cover should include the title only. |
| 3. |
Each
screenplay/short story should be bound with fastners |
| 4. |
For
entry confirmation, please include a stamped self-addressed postcard.
NOTE: materials will not be returned. |
| 5. |
Each
screenplay/short story must be submitted with separate entry fees
and Registration/Release and Synopsis forms. |
| 6. |
Enclose
check or money order payable to Slamdance. |

ENTRY FEE
The 1st deadline entry fee is $40 for full length screenplays and
short stories. $20 for short screenplays. The final deadline entry fee
is $55 for full length screenplays and short stories. $35 dollars for
short screenplays. Applicants have the option of receiving coverage by
mail for an additional $15. All entry fees must be US currency and payable
to SLAMDANCE.
